The 2015 Annual Conference was a success!


National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) members are fortunate to have a variety of resources to aid their success in business.  A key benefit of NAPPS membership is access to the Annual Conference.

This year’s conference offered a wealth of information for NAPPS members.  Networking is essential to grow a pet business.  Members who attended were able to meet face to face with both new members and other professional pet sitters and exchange helpful tips.  The NAPPS Chat Message Board offers another interactive way of networking for pet sitting professionals.  When a member posts a question for guidance on a certain problem, other NAPPS members across the country are quick to offer ideas, suggestions and positive support.

The importance of social media and marketing techniques was extensively discussed.  In the ever changing pet service sector, a professional pet sitter must market a business via a social media platform. It is vital to understand how to make and maintain an online web presence.  A website design must catch the attention of a potential client and be easy to navigate, so that the client may speedily access the information required.  Links to social media pages on the website will make it easier for clients to find Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest pages and Twitter feeds.  Pet sitters may find it useful to access online ad resources such as Googles AdWords, which may boost online traffic to the pet sitter’s website.

The 2015 Annual Conference was a success.  Members learned new ways to grow their businesses.
