Privacy Policy
NAPPS is the fastest-growing nonprofit pet sitting organization in the country, averaging 45 to 60 new members each month. As a result, our members have become prime candidates for many marketing companies.
In order to protect members from unwanted solicitation and to safeguard the organization's existing and future business partnerships, NAPPS has added an important privacy and no-solicitation statement to its Website.
This statement reads:
© 2003 NAPPS. The NAPPS membership list is strictly confidential and for the use of pet owners in search of a professional pet sitter or for members to locate other members. Solicitation of NAPPS members for any reason is strictly forbidden, except as directed by the NAPPS Board of Directors. Failure to comply will result in loss of membership and possible prosecution under copyright law statutes.
The Board of Directors is responsible for determining what products and services most benefit NAPPS and its members. It carefully reviews all charitable or promotional events, marketing strategies and product/service opportunities presented to the organization. In every case, the Board considers how a potential association or endorsement will reflect upon NAPPS and its membership.
Proposals chosen and offered to the membership must pass a dual standard. They must enhance the professional image of the organization, as well as provide NAPPS members with additional marketing opportunities.
Any Board-approved opportunities will include proof of Board endorsement and will be announced in The NAPPS Network, by broadcast e-mail and on the Website.
If you experience a violation of the NAPPS privacy policy - solicitation by phone, mail or email - please contact NAPPS Executive Director, Felicia Lembesis (856-439-0324; flembesis@ahint.com) with the name of the person who solicited you and how you were contacted.
